Center renamed after PFA Fellow Charlie Norwood

Last January 15, Gloria Norwood, wife of the late Congressman Charlie Norwood, participated in the renaming of the "Charlie Norwood Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center." Dr. Norwood was a decorated Vietnam Veteran who represented Georgia's 10th Congressional District and was a champion of military and veterans' health care legislation. In fact, while battling cancer, Charlie's last trip before his death was to tour the medical facilities in the Middle East and in Iraq.
