This may appear strange to find a dentists talking about bad breath odor, but about 90% of such cases seem to be related to the activity of bacterial populations living in the mouth. Nevertheless, Dr. Levit, a member of the International Society of Oral Breath Research, puts the stress on the need of a multi-disciplinary approach in order to discard the more complex etiologies, or to improve the efficiency of treatment.
