GRANTS PROGRAM
The following information is for those seeking monetary support for projects that will benefit the dental profession and the public that it serves and that are consonant with the Goals, Objectives and Restrictions of the Foundation. Although the Foundation remains flexible enough to consider innovative projects in all areas of dentistry including practice and education, it does place special emphasis on programs that increase access and provide care to the deserving but inadequately served public.
The directions for form completion need to be followed carefully. Pay particular attention to the six copy requirement, to the inclusions and documentations asked for, and that all applications be submitted in English.
Submission of a grant application, never by e-mail or fax, must be made by June 1st. Any submission after that date will be rejected.
The grant applications are reviewed very carefully by a committee of Foundation trustees. At the Annual trustees meeting in October, final decisions and commitment of funds is made. Those receiving grants will be sent contracts for signature and then funds forwarded. A report from the recipients concerning the final disposition of funds and the project results is expected by December of the contract year.
