The Pierre Fauchard Academy mentorship program is an International program that encompasses every Section of the Pierre Fauchard Academy in the world.
This program consists of Section and subsections mentorship chairpersons so that the Academy will be able to promote mentorship in even the smallest areas.
The Academy believes this is an excellent program that will benefit the students, new practitioners, established practitioners, and the patients.
The Morganelli Dental Center located in Chicago, Illinois has been a active participant in the Academy's mentor program for the past 10 years. The protégée spends one year in a structured clinical setting, rotating through the various clinical disciplines, attending seminars, and component dental society meetings. Upon completion of the year of clinical practice and study the Protegee is presented with a Certificate of Completion. The certificate is present by the Director of the Center, Dr. Joseph C. Morganelli, at a social function of the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
This certificate and monetary award is to support student scholarships and exchanges. These scholarships may include areas such as dental faculty development, dental teacher training scholarships, and dental labor scholarships.
