Message from the President-Elect for 2013

I was honored by election to serve as Academy’s 2012-2013 President Elect this past October in San Francisco during the Pierre Fauchard Academy’s Board of Trustees meeting, I am grateful to the Officers and the Board for trusting me to help guide the Academy’s future.

Also, I am excited to continue serving as one of our Academy’s Officers in concert with the talented Board of Trustee members. I believe my year as the Academy’s Vice President, four years as the Western Region 5 USA Trustee and with eleven years as Northern California Section Chairperson aids in fulfilling my duties to the Executive Committee, Board of Trustees and the Academy Fellows worldwide.

As per the Academy’s Bylaws, the President-Elect duties include: assisting the President as requested; serving on executive committee; chairperson of the budget and finance committee; preside over the Board of Trustee meetings in the absence of the President; and, serve as acting President if the are unable to fulfill their duties.

The PFA mission lives in our Academy’s current Officers: President Ernesto Acuna, Immediate-Past President Joe Harris and new Vice President Karyn Stockwell. Also this January, there is a big shift at the Central Office as our long standing Executive Director Judith Kozal retires. She turns over her position and duties to Ms. Loralie Lowder.
