Pierre Fauchard 75th Annniversary Celebration

Paris, France- June 16th, 2011

How fitting but to have the 75th Anniversary celebration of our Academy in Paris. President Hubert Ouvrard arranged a fantastic day for this event. The morning started with the scientific session held at UFR d'Odontologie. After hearing lectures on endodontics, esthetics, implants, and the history of Pierre Fauchard, we walked a short distance to Mairie du 6eme arrondissement. This was where the award ceremony took place as well as the induction of new fellows. The beauty of the room only served to enhance the special ceremony. A cocktail party followed.

At 2:00pm we were transferred by bus for a cruise on the Seine River. What absolutely breathtaking scenery. As we talked and laughed together we were enjoying the sites of the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, and the Louvre.

That evening we dined at the Palais du Luxembourg at the restaurant of the Senat. The dinning room was beautifully decorated and the evening could not have been more special.

Thanks to President Ouvrard for a memorable celebration.
