Scholarship awards were presented from the PFA Foundation to the Case-WRU and Ohio State Receipients in the amount of $1500; and the Ohio Section matched this with an additional $1500 to each student. Ohio has established a scholarship fund by soliciting with our State dues statement and the response has been excellent. This is another way for the Ohio Section to encourage and reward emerging leadership. Fellows, also, have an improved opportunity to mentor because of the increased visibility this program gives to the Academy. Student delegates to the Ohio Dental Association and the Deans of CWRU and Ohio State are always invited to the breakfast to see the PFA in action.
The 2010 Breakfast will be held on September 24 at the same location and promises to be another chance for the PFA to show how important service and professional ideals are to the perpetuation of our great profession. The numbers for attendance at this meeting look impressive thus far.
