Health professionals and community volunteers needed for free dental clinic
Posted July 06, 2012
The California Dental Association Foundation is recruiting volunteers for CDA Cares, a free dental clinic, to be held Aug. 24-25 at Cal Expo in Sacramento.
The main goal of the clinic is to relieve pain and infection by providing cleanings, fillings, extractions and oral health education to more than 1,500 people during the two-day event.
In addition to dentists and dental professionals, CDA Cares is recruiting community volunteers to escort patients, translate, setup and tear down the clinic, register patients and volunteers, conduct exit interviews, enter data, and provide oral health education.
Recently in Modesto, 1,250 volunteers offered their time and skills at CDA Cares to provide $1.2 million in care to 1,650 Californians in need.
Help make Sacramento’s CDA Cares a big success!
