DR. CYNTHIA A BOLTON
In November of 2013, the PFA was invited to participate in the White Coat Ceremony at East Carolina School of Dentistry. Along with the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists, the Old North State Dental Society, and the North Carolina Dental Society, the PFA brought greetings to the students, faculty and their families. It was an excellent opportunity to mentor students and support dental education in our state. It was an honor for me to represent the PFA as the Region 3 Trustee at this event.
This spring, PFA fellows in North Carolina will be able to participate in a Mission of Mercy Project in Reidsville NC. The particulars of this event are listed below. Our own section chair, Dr. Scott Vines is coordinating this effort in Reidsville.
Reidsville's NC Dental Society's Mission of Mercy Free Dental Clinic Friday May 30th and Saturday May 31st 2014.
This is NOT Memorial Day Weekend
Thank you to all those that volunteered at our first two NCMOM Dental Clinics in 2011 & 2012 here in Reidsville. We were able to help 1,186 people and provided over $640,000 worth of free dental services.
Representative Dr. Bert Jones as secured grant funding through the State to help off set the cost of the clinic. This will be the only clinic this year within a 2 hour drive from the Greensboro/Reidsville area, except for a clinic in Winston-Salem in November.
The NCMOM Clinic will be held at Rockingham Community College – Robert Keys Gym
Remember that you earn ONE Hour of NC State Board Approved CE credit for every five hours that you volunteered. You can earn a maximum of two CE credit hours per year.
Please print and post the attached flyer in your office and encourage your staff to participate
