Pierre Fauchard Academy- Nepal Section
2017-2019

Introduction
Pierre Fauchard Academy- Nepal Section was founded in November 17, 2017 at the First Induction Ceremony of PFA-Nepal with the induction of thirteen founding fellows. The program was conducted during the annual conference of Nepal Dental Association held in Kathmandu. So far, 42 dentists/dental specialists have been inducted as Fellow of Pierre Fauchard Academy through PFA-Nepal section. 
The PFA-Nepal Section was conceived by the then Nepal Dental Association President Dr Santosh Man Rajbhandari and PFA Asia Trustee Dr Armyl Banez earlier during Asia Pacific Dental Congress in Hong Kong in June 2016.
Since its inception, Pierre Fauchard Academy- Nepal Section has been organizing induction programs annually. It has conducted community/ public dental health programs, continuing dental education programs, advocacy and awareness on oral health issues on various occasions. With compliance to the Academy’s core philosophy, PFA-Nepal began ‘PFA-Nepal Service Award’ in 2019 to encourage and honor the PFA dental professionals.
