Dr. Barry Dolman Elected President of the Ordre des dentistes du Québec

Montreal, November 3, 2011 – Quebec dentists have elected Dr. Barry Dolman President of their professional order. The results of the general vote were counted today at the Head Office of the Ordre des dentistes du Québec, with Doctors Jean-Guy Vallée, Daniel Montminy and Nancy Lalancette acting as scrutineers.
Dr. Dolman holds a Doctor in Dental Medicine degree from the Université de Montréal and a Bachelor of Science from McGill University, and has been in private practice in Montreal since 1975. He is also a Director of the ODQ, Chairman of the Canadian Section of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, an advisor to the Académie dentaire du Québec and an expert for the ODQ Fonds d'assurance-responsabilité professionnelle.
He is also a Fellow of the Académie dentaire du Québec, the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the American College of Dentists, an honorary member of the Canadian Dental Association, a lifetime member of the Quebec Dental Surgeons Association and past President of the Canadian Dental Association.
Dr. Dolman will officially take up his duties on November 4, 2011, for a four-year term. He succeeds Dr. Diane Legault, who served as President of the Ordre des dentistes du Québec from 2006 to 2011.
