Oral diseases pose a major health burden for many countries and affect people throughout their lifetime, causing pain, discomfort, disfigurement and even death. Since 1995, the Oral Health Foundation of the Pierre Fauchard Academy has served as a leading philanthropic, non-profit organization promoting the advancement of oral healthcare globally to those in need. The stories of how lives are changed are why we are driven to improve the lives of people with poor oral healthcare.

Share A Smile Grant Program

The Foundation was created to provide monetary grants to support those less fortunate. Since 1995, the Foundation has supported over 675 grants totaling $4,600,000 around the world. The need is great! Together, through the financial support of the Foundation and the dedication of dental professionals, we have and shall continue to enhance the quality of oral healthcare around the world. Grant applications are accepted between March 1 - June 1.

Student Scholarship Program

The Foundation promotes the advancement of education of future dentists through its student scholarship program. The average dental student graduates with more than $260,000 of debt.

To assist students, the Foundation offers student scholarships on an annual basis to all dental schools in the United States, Canada, Australia and selected dental schools worldwide. We are proud of our achievement in providing over $2,300,000 in scholarships to future dentists.

Foundation Pesident Lowder presents a $10,000 PFA Foundation Grant to the Georgia Mission of Mercy (GMOM) Chairs and Leads during the business meeting at the Georgia Section Annual Leadership Conference and Convocation February 1, 2015.
